Adelaide Football Club PP&O
Recruit Connect sign-up with the Adelaide Football Club's Past Players & Officials
In its 25th year in the AFL, the AFC has some big plans both on and off the field in 2015.
With only a few AFL players having a definitive pathway beyond their playing and coaching careers, the Adelaide Football Club through their Past Players and Officials Ltd Board (PP&O), have taken another significant step toward fulfilling their ongoing player welfare strategy by formalising a partnership with Adelaide-based recruitment firm, Recruit Connect.
In an initial 12-month partnership, Recruit Connect will work with the AFC PP&O to provide access for its members to Recruit Connect's career experts for support and advice. This will include specific assistance in interview preparation, job searching, career definition, resume writing and network creation. Additionally, Recruit Connect's utilisation of the Harrison Assessments platform will form a significant part of its offering to the AFC PP&O Association's members.
"Behavioural profiling tools can be extremely beneficial to businesses who want to better engage with their staff or for anyone looking to get the most out of their career", says Recruit Connect's Co-Founder, Simon Stewart. "Through our partnership with the PP&O, we're offering a service to individuals whose sole focus has been totally pursuant of performing in the AFL at the highest level either in a playing and/or coaching capacity. We'll work closely with these athletes and officials to identify pathways that are most suited to the natural strengths of those individuals. We couldn't be prouder to have been asked to support the PP&O's vision to enhance their player welfare program that other AFL clubs will aspire to emulate".
Recruit Connect and Chairman of the AFC PP&O Ltd Board, Rod Jameson have been engaged in communication for many months in the lead-up to the signing of the agreement to ensure the absolute alignment of value propositions. Upon the signing of the agreement, Rod had the following to say on behalf of the PP&O Board, "The partnership with Recruit Connect underpins and supports the welfare of our own people needing to seek employment post their careers in an elite environment which is all consuming. The professional guidance of Recruit Connect to prepare, present and have our members elaborate on their skillset and attributes to provide them with the best opportunity to acquire employment is a formula for good outcomes for all parties involved."
